My name is Giorgio Baú and I am a sound engineer working in Milan, Italy. My love for music emerged in the early ‘80’s thanks to my father who brought me up on Dire Straits and Joe Cocker. As a child I used to write my own songs even though I was as of yet unable to play any instruments. I had a toy keyboard with sample drum loops and I used to record these on tape with random melodies. I also used the aux input on my hi-fi to dub in other instruments and that is how i started understanding how an album was made.
In 2006, at the age of 26, I completed the Audio Engineer Diploma at Milan, Italy’s SAE International College of Technology.
I worked as a sound engineer at various studios, at live concerts and for a radio station. The years of experience have given me the opportunity to work with many great national and international artists. After gaining enough experience, I founded my own recording studio, the T.Rex, where I worked for four great years. I then decided to leave my beloved studio in order to be free to choose different paths.
